Consent. So important and yet still so misunderstood.

We all know Fight or Flight. But did you know that there are 5 “official” reactions, each valid and legitimate, and which allows our mind to protect itself as best it can: Fight, Flight, Friend, Freeze, and Flop.

Fight: To fight.

Flight: Running away.

Friend: The most misunderstood reaction. To be nice, to make friends with your attacker, hoping that he will stop or hurt you less.

Freeze: Not move, rigidly, for fear of further angering our attacker.

Flop: Do not move, in a limp manner, for fear of further angering our aggressor.
