Every DFG grillz is a one-of-a-kind piece. Handmade, cast in sterling silver, hand-polished. And shaped to the exact mould of your teeth — not a standard template.
The history behind it
Grillz didn't start in the 80s. 2,500 years ago, the Etruscans were already fastening gold bands onto their teeth. Maya elites inlaid theirs with jade and turquoise. In modern times, grillz became a symbol of status, resistance and self-expression — popularised by hip hop culture, and worn today across every culture and every style.Mine are precious jewellery. Made with care, intention, and a touch of silver punk.
The process, step by step
- The dental mould. You come to the boutique at 32 rue des Polinaires, Toulouse. I take an impression of your teeth and create a plaster replica in my studio. It's quick, painless, and it's the foundation of everything.
- The sculpting. I sculpt your grillz directly onto the plaster model, creating a perfect "slipper" that fits your teeth exactly.
- The casting. The piece goes off to be cast in sterling silver. Every millimetre is considered before it enters the metal.
- The finishing. I hand-polish every piece. Flawless result, clean edges, lasting shine.
Lead time: 2 weeks (sometimes three, but I always keep you updated if there's a delay). Collection in store for a final fitting and any adjustments.

Care
Don't sleep in them. Go easy on the coffee, tea and cigarettes while wearing them. To clean: an old toothbrush and charcoal toothpaste does the job. Or come back to the studio — I'll take care of it.
